News Highlights

  • Toyota Innova Crysta Facelift to get the same engine options as its predecessor.
  • The Innova Crysta Facelift likely to be launched in first half of November 2020.
  • The updated MPV will feature an aggressive front fascia.

Toyota recently introduced the Innova Crysta Facelift for the Indonesian market. Now the upgraded MPV is expected to be launched in the Indian market around the second week of November 2020. Along with minor cosmetic updates, the new model will also get some additional features in comparison to its predecessor.

In terms of design, the Innova Crysta Facelift is likely to remain more or less identical to its predecessor. Instead of a two-chrome finished grille, it will now feature a larger grille with five horizontal slats and a thick chrome outline upfront. Furthermore, it will also get a pair of headlamps with chrome extensions merging into the front grille. Other highlights will include redesigned fog lamps, faux front skid plate, LED DRL's and 16-inch alloy wheels finished in silver. However, the top-end variant is likely to cater to diamond-cut alloy wheels. The rear end of the MPV is a bit improvised, as it provides some minor change like the black hexagonal section that is placed between the tail-lights and extends as far down as the license plate.

India-spec Toyota Innova Crysta Facelift will get the same theme and layout as the Indonesian-spec model. Thus it will provide a six-seating layout with the middle row catering to captain seats. Toyota Kirloskar Motors will equipped the MPV with a plethora of features. These could include a new 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system integrated with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, keyless entry and go, a new instrument cluster, leatherette seat covers, an in-built air purifier, ambient lighting among many others. As for safety it should get seven airbags, speed-sensing door locks, cruise control, vehicle stability control, hill-start assists, and a reverse camera.

Under the bonnet, the India-spec Innova Crysta Facelift is likely to retain the same 2.7-litre petrol and 2.4-litre diesel engine options. The 2.7-litre petrol unit will generate 166 bhp power output with 245 Nm of peak torque. While the 2.4-litre diesel motor will belt out 150 bhp power and 360 Nm torque. Transmission options will include a 5-speed manual gearbox and a 6-speed torque converter automatic gear stick.
