Simple Energy is all set to commence the test rides of its flagship scooter - the Simple One. Having said that, the test ride will be conducted in 13 cities across India. Besides that, the first phase of test rides will begin from July 20 onwards in Bangalore followed by Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Pune, Panaji, and other cities. Interested customers can reserve test ride slots by directly visiting the company’s official website. 

We are delighted to begin the test rides and give customers a sense of what we have been building. We aim to offer the maximum number of test rides to those who have been waiting to ride the Simple One. Additionally, we plan to add more cities in the coming months," as commented by Suhas Rajkumar, Founder and CEO of Simple Energy.


Furthermore, Simple Energy is planning to conduct test rides in several more cities. As for the deliveries of the vehicle, they are likely to begin soon after the test rides. Simple One made its debut on August 15 last year in the country. It is priced at Rs 1.09 lakhs (ex-showroom) for the standard variant with a real-world range of 203 km (up to 236 km in ideal conditions). The e-scooter costs Rs 1.45 lakhs (ex-showroom) for the long-range configuration with over 300 km of range via an additional battery pack. Interested buyers can book Simple One e-scooter at a token amount of Rs 1947. The bookings can be made online by visiting the official website www.simpleenergy.in .

The Made-in-India e-scooter comes with the highest driving range of 203 kms in Eco mode. This range can further be increased upto 236 kms in IDC for a fully charged battery. Moving on, the e-scooter can accelerate from 0-40 kmph in just 2.95 seconds. It can further achieve a top speed of 105kmph. The feature highlights include an intuitive smart dashboard, integrated turn indicators both on the front & rear side, and 30-litres boot space. 

Simple One will be produced at a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Hosur, Tamil Nadu. It rivals the likes of  Ola S1, Ather 450X, and Bajaj Chetak. Simple Energy aims to be at the forefront of the ongoing global transition to green mobility. The company has already commissioned a second plant in Dharmapuri, Tamil Nadu, which will spread across 600 acres and have a capacity of 12.5 million units annually.
