  • Royal Enfield Meteor 350 to feature a completely new 350cc air-cooled engine
  • The new Meteor 350 will be offered in three trims - Fireball, Stellar & Supernova

Royal Enfield is all set to launch the Meteor 350 this month in the Indian market. The motorcycle has been spotted doing test rides in the production-ready format on multiple occasions. Also, several spy images of the new bike have been leaked online in the past. A few days back, the brochure had also surfaced online revealing quite a few details about the new Meteor 350. Now, a Youtube channel namely 'Rider Lal' has revealed details about the new engine of Meteor 350 ahead of the launch.

Royal Enfield Meteor 350 Engine Specifications

According to the leaked images, Royal Enfield Meteor 350 will get a completely new 350cc single-cylinder, air-cooled long stroke motor. This engine will deliver 20.2 bhp power and 27 Nm torque. In comparison to the existing BS6 350cc engine of Classic 350, the new engine generates 0.4 bhp more power and 1 Nm less torque. Currently, the BS6 Classic 350 on sale in India belts out 19.8 bhp power and 28 Nm torque. Furthermore, the engine of the upcoming Meteor 350 will come equipped with a single overhead camshaft (SOHC) and an electronic fuel-injection system. Also, the engine will be linked to a 5-speed gearbox. The new transmission option offers smoother gear shifts. The leaked images also reveal that the long-stroke motor will deliver high torque on low rpms.

Royal Enfield Meteor 350 engine details

Earlier the brochure of the Royal Enfield Meteor 350 was leaked. It further revealed that the motorcycle will be offered in three trims namely fireball, Stellar, and Supernova. The base trim Fireball will be offered in two color options - Red and Yellow. It will feature coloured rim tapes, body graphic decals instead of a 3D badge, single-colored fuel tank, and blacked-out components. Talking about the Stellar variant, it will be offered in three color schemes namely Red Metallic, Matte Black, and Metallic Gloss Blue. This mid-spec variant will get chrome finish on the handlebars, body-colored components & premium badges.

The top-spec variant Supernova is available in two dual-tone paint schemes namely Brown and Blue. This trim will feature machined alloy wheels, premium seat upholstery, flyscreen, and chrome turn signals. The new bike is replacing the now discontinued BS4 compliant Thunderbird 350 siblings. However, it is likely to be slightly more expensive than the Thunderbird 350. We can expect the price to be around Rs 1.75 lakh (ex-showroom).
