Hyundai Creta has been a huge success in the SUV industry since it’s debut but it is seeing a lot of competition from fresh the entrants such as Tata Harrier, MG Hector and Kia Seltos. The company had unveiled the next-gen Hyundai Creta at the Auto Expo 2020 with Bollywood Superstar Shahrukh Khan making an appearance at the event.

The crowd reaction to the unveiling was insane and now the launch date for Next-Gen Hyundai Creta is March 17, 2020. One common observation is that the new SUV is bigger in dimensions than the previous model along with a marginally extended wheelbase. The expected price would be in range of Rs 10-17 Lakhs (Ex-Showroom).

The 2020 Hyundai Creta is inspired by the ix25 which was unveiled in China last year and looks more robust than the outgoing model. We will see stylish improvements like massive cascade grille, slim indicator lights and the distinct vertical DRLs around the projector beam headlamps. We can observe that the tall bumper will sport muscular-looking skid plates. We can observe exciting sporting squared fenders and revamp LED taillights with a sleek light bar helping to give a more modern look to the Next-Gen Hyundai  Creta.

Hyundai has worked hard on the interiors and which is reflected in form of a revamped cabin with a massive 10.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system. It will feature Hyundai’s innovative Blue Link connected car technology which will help the users to remotely lock and unlock the vehicle from their Smarphone while setting the climate control settings simultaneously.

We see some exciting developments like flat-bottom steering wheel, revamped dashboard and upgraded seats along with the upholstery. Safety remains a priority in Hyundai Creta with inclusion of 6-airbags, ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), side-impact protection, and EBD (Electronic Brake-force Distribution). Some of the top variants will have a sunroof, inbuilt air purifier, and power adjusting front seats.

Kia and Hyundai both share engines and platforms so we can expect the Next Generation Hyundai Creta to be powered by BS 6 compliant 1.5L petrol and 1.5L diesel engines from the Seltos. The expected mileage for the Creta diesel will be around 18kmpl in the city to 22kmpl on the highway. The petrol version would do 12kmpl in the city to 15kmpl on the highway.
