Genesis, the luxury division of Hyundai, has unveiled the new GV70 for international markets. The brand launched the GV70 SUV in 2020, and after four long years, the SUV has finally received a mid-life update. Genesis has made some notable changes to the SUV’s exterior and interior design.

The Genesis GV70 facelift has the same appearance as the standard model, but it has received certain tweaks. The GV70 now comes equipped with updated headlamps and grille. On the front bumper, it gets a new skid-plate element. The GV70 rolls on new 19-inch wheels. For improved visibility, the turn signals have been moved into the taillights. In addition, the rear camera module has also been relocated to the spoiler for a neater appearance.

The interior of the Genesis GV70 facelift is based on the new GV80. The car features a widescreen 27-inch OLED display that houses an infotainment system and instrument cluster. The dashboard design has also been updated with revamped central air conditioning vents and control surfaces. In addition, the steering wheel now has a revised two-tone design and the new Genesis logo. Genesis also unveiled the GV7 Sport package, which adds new sportier design elements to the SUV.

The automaker has not revealed engine specifications. However, the SUV is likely to retain the same engine options available in the outgoing version. These engine options include a 2.5-liter turbo four-cylinder petrol, a 2.2-liter turbo diesel, and a 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6. The company says that the new GV70 will be rolled out in Korea in the coming months, followed by other markets.

While Genesis may not have entered the Indian market yet, it has been turning heads globally since its establishment in 2015. The brand will soon make a grand entry in India with cars like the Genesis G80, which was spotted testing on Indian roads last year.
