Suzuki Motorcycle India has announced the launch of new-gen Hayabusa on April 26, 2021 in the country. The unofficial bookings for the superbike have already started at several Suzuki dealerships across the nation. The 2021 Suzuki Hayabusa price is expected to be around Rs 17-18 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom) in India. To be retailed via the CKD route, it has no direct rivals in the Indian market. The 2021 new-gen Hayabusa will come with an array of technological updates while it is also less powerful than the previous-gen model.

As for features, the new-gen Suzuki Hayabusa comes with new six-axis IMU along with 10 levels of traction control and 10 types of anti-wheelie control. In addition, the motorcycle also gets three engine brake control functions, three power modes and cruise control among other features. As for the safety of the rider and pillion, it boasts of cornering ABS, hill hold control and launch control as standard features. The instrument console features a new TFT display for navigation while the rest of the dashboard remains analogue. The front fascia flaunts a LED headlamp with a slightly revised styling. The bike is based on the same twin-spar aluminium chassis as the previous-gen model.

Mechanically, the 2021 Suzuki Hayabusa is powered by the same 1340cc four-cylinder petrol engine, albeit with lesser power and torque as compared to its predecessor. The engine has been tweaked with the inclusion of lighter pistons, new connecting rods and fuel injectors. This engine now develops a top power of 190bhp, which is 7bhp less than the preceding model. The torque performance is pegged at 150Nm. The exhaust has been restyled and is lighter in weight, which has subsequently resulted in a drop in the overall weight of the motorcycle by 2 kgs. The 2021 Hayabusa is equipped with Showa suspensions both at front and rear while it rides on Bridgestone Battlax S22 tyres. The braking duties are helmed by Brembo Stylema calipers upfront.
