MG Hector Gets New Shine Pro and Select Pro Variants

MG Motor India announced on Monday that it has expanded the variant options for the Hector SUV. The SAIC-owned British car marque has introduced two new variants for its famous SUV: the Select Pro and Shine Pro. The MG Hector was first launched in June 2019, and it has been the company’s most famous SUV in the Indian market.

The MG Hector Shine Pro variant is available at a price of INR 15,99,800 (ex-showroom), while the Select Pro comes at a price of INR 17,29,800 (ex-showroom). The MG Hector lineup now starts at a price of INR 13.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

MG Motor has announced that the new Hector trims are equipped with India's largest portrait-oriented HD touchscreen infotainment system, which measures 14 inches. The MG Select Pro variant houses a twin-pane panoramic sunroof, while the Shine Pro features a single-pane electric sunroof. The new variants come equipped with a new dashboard design and a range of features incorporating Apple CarPlay connectivity and wireless Android Auto. The Hector Select Pro comes with 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, whereas the Shine Pro trim stands on 17-inch silver alloy wheels.

The Select Pro and Shine Pro get updated features including a wireless charger, a push start/stop button, floating light turn indicators, a fully digital instrument cluster, LED headlamps, a 17.78 cm embedded LCD display, LED-connected taillights, and more.

The MG Hector is powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine and a 2.0-litre diesel engine. Both engines are mated to a six-speed manual gearbox, while the AT transmission is limited only to the petrol engine.

In terms of safety features, the new versions of the MG Hector get Cruise Control, Four-wheel disc brakes, Traction Control System (TCS), ESP, Hill Hold Control, ABS with EBD, Brake Assist, Seatbelt Reminder for all seats, Electric Parking Brake, Follow Me Home Headlamps, Front & Rear Defogger, Cornering Front Fog Lamps, ISOFIX Child Seat Anchors, Speed Sensing Auto Door Lock, and High-Speed Warning Alert.
