Maruti Suzuki Baleno has surpassed the 1 million sales milestone in the Indian market. It is the fastest premium hatchback to cross the 10 Lakh units sales in India. Being equipped with a plethora of advanced and modern features, Maruti Baleno is offered with a 1.2L Dual Jet Dual VVT petrol engine option with first-in-segment smart hybrid technology. Being exclusively sold via the 399 NEXA outlets across 248 cities in the country, the hatch rivals Hyundai i20, Honda Jazz, Tata Altroz and Volkswagen Polo.
Maruti Baleno features include Idle start-stop, CVT transmission, Smartplay Studio touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and Multicolor information display. As for safety of the occupants, it comes loaded with dual front airbags, ABS with EBD and brake assist, Pre-Tensioner and Force limiter seat belts with reminder, ISOFIX child restraint system, High-Speed Alert system and Reverse Parking Assist sensors as standard features across all variants. Maruti Suzuki is readying a facelifted version of the hatchback which is expected to launch in the first quarter of 2022. It will come with cosmetic upgrades at the outside as well as inside the cabin while mechanically retaining the same petrol engine.
