The domestic carmaker, Maruti launched the Baleno in October 2015 and it has been a huge success. Moreover, Baleno is the most popular choice in the premium segment hatchback of the country. Since the launch, Maruti has sold 5 lakh units of Baleno and it took merely 38 months to reach this feat.
The Baleno’s cabin is very upmarket and gives a premium feel. The car is packed with safety features and technologies. The design of the hatchback is very minimalistic and straight-forward. The standard Baleno is available in both petrol and diesel engines. Both the engines comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox and additionally, the petrol engine also has an option for CVT.
The response for the car was so overwhelming that the manufacturer launched a more powerful Baleno RS in March 2017. The Baleno is exclusively manufactured in India. Moreover, it is the first car from India to be exported to Japan. Apart from India, the premium hatchback has received a good response from global markets like Australia, Europe, Latin America and East Asia.
