Mahindra & Mahindra has introduced a new Deep Forest green color scheme for its most popular SUV, the Mahindra Thar. The automaker offers the off-roader Thar SUV in two broad variants: LX and AX (O). Both the AX (O) and LX are now available in the new dark green exterior shade. The automaker already offers the same color option in the Scorpio N and recently launched the XUV 3XO.
The off-roader SUV is now available in a total of six color schemes: Desert Fury, Deep Forest Green, Stealth Black, Everest White, Red Rage, and Deep Grey. Additionally, the Desert Fury shade is only available in the recently launched Thar Earth Edition. The SUV rolls on 18-inch alloy wheels.

In terms of features, the Mahindra Thar comes equipped with a 7-inch touchscreen, a 6-speaker sound system, manual AC, a height-adjustable driver seat, and cruise control. For safety, the SUV houses updated features like dual front airbags, an electronic stability program (ESP), ISOFIX child seat mounts, and rear parking sensors. Under the hood, the Mahindra Thar is available in three powertrain options: a 2.2-litre diesel unit, a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol mill, and a 1.5-litre diesel engine.
In the Indian market, the Mahindra Thar rivals the likes of Force Gurkha, Maruti Suzuki Jimny, Hyundai Creta, MG Astor, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, Toyota Hyryder, Volkswagen Taigun, and Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara. Mahindra is currently working on a 5-door derivative of the SUV, which could be named the Thar Armada. The auto giant is expected to unveil this new model in August 2024.
