News Highlights

  • Mahindra launched the BS6 Scorpio in April 2020
  • The BS6 Scorpio is offered in a total of 4 trims
  • No additional cost will be charged for this new feature

Mahindra & Mahindra launched the BS6 version of Scorpio in April this year. The SUV falls in the price bracket of Rs 12.42-16.27 Lakhs (Ex-Showroom). It is offered in a total of four variants namely S5, S7, S9, and S11. The company had equipped the top-end variants S9 and S11 with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Now, Mahindra has introduced Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity with the aforementioned variants.

With Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, the drivers can easily connect their device with the infotainment system. Once the device is connected, the driver can further access the device via voice or steering mounted controls, without taking his hands off the wheel. By doing this, the driver can easily focus on the road instead of getting distracted. Although this new update has increased the convenience factor of the infotainment system, the SUV still lacks the connected car tech feature. Furthermore, this feature will only be available with S9 and S11 trims. It will be offered to the customers without any additional costs as it will be a part of the regular product upgrade.

Apart from these, the top-end variants S9 and S11 also get features like projector headlamps with LED DRLs, front fog lamps, cruise control, and auto AC in addition to the standard features. The safety kit comprises of dual front airbags, ABS, rear parking camera, and rear parking sensors.

Under the hood, Mahindra Scorpio has a BS6 compliant 2.2-litre diesel engine. The engine generates 140 bhp power and 320 Nm torque while being linked to a 6-speed manual gearbox.
