Hyundai India had launched the Grand i10 NIOS last year in the Indian market. It is available in four trims namely Era, Magna, Sportz, and Asta. Now, the company is planning to launch a new variant ahead of the festive season this year. This new variant is dubbed as ‘Corporate Edition’. It is basically going to be an extension of the Magna trim. Recently, the brochure of the Corporate Edition was leaked online. This further gives us a fair idea of what the new variant will look like.
According to the leaked brochure, Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS Corporate Edition will be based on the Magna trim but will get a few additional features over it. The 14-inch steel wheels with white wheel caps will be replaced by 15-inch alloy wheels with gunmetal grey finish. In comparison to the NIOS Magna, the Corporate Edition NIOS gets new body-coloured electrically-adjustable ORVMs with integrated turn indicators. Also, the ‘Corporate’ lettering is present all across the exterior. Rest of the design elements remain identical to the Magna trim.
Talking about the interiors, the Corporate Edition will get a 6.75-inch touchscreen infotainment system compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto instead of the 2 DIN audio system. Furthermore, it also gets first-in-segment ABAF (Anti Bacterial Anti Fungal) seats. In addition, there is also an air purifier along with gesture control and HEPA filter.
Under the bonnet, the Corporate Edition will get the same engine options as the regular one. It gets a BS6 compliant 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that churns out 83 bhp power and 114 Nm torque. The engine will be mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox along with a 5-speed AMT gearbox as an option. There is also a 1.2-litre turbocharged diesel mill on sale. The engine generates 75 bhp power and 190 Nm torque while being linked to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The 1.0-litre turbo GDi petrol engine will not be offered with the Corporate Edition.
As for the price of this new variant, the company has not revealed anything yet. Since the Corporate Edition will be based on the Magna trim and Magna falls in the price bracket of Rs 5.91-6.44 Lakhs (ex-showroom) for the petrol variants and Rs 7 Lakhs (ex-showroom) for diesel variants.
