Hyundai Motor Company is all set to give a mid-life refresh to its best-selling SUV, Creta. The updated SUV will make its global debut in 2022. Following this, It will land our shores. The 2022 Creta has been spotted doing test runs on multiple occasions in the past. It has been once again spied ahead of the official launch. The image for the same has been surfaced online. 

Hyundai Creta Facelift: Exterior

From the new spy image, we can clearly see that the updated SUV will get several cosmetic upgrades. The front-end looks similar to the new-generation Tucson that made its global debut last year. The headlamps look more rectangular and are positioned a bit lower on the front fascia. The SUV further gets a trapezoidal front grille with three LED DRLs on each corner. The bumper and bonnet at the front have been redesigned. Besides these, the updated Creta features a new fog lamp assembly and a faux skid plate. Lastly, the lower central air dam, headlamp cluster, and LED DRLs get a dark finish. 

Hyundai Creta Facelift: Interior

The cabin of the 2022 Hyundai Creta will look similar to the current-gen model on sale in India. However, it will also receive subtle upgrades in terms of new leather upholstery. It will be feature-rich in comparison to its current counterpart. The upcoming SUV will get a HUD head-up unit, ventilated front seats, ADAS-enabled autonomous driving technology, auto-dimming inside rearview mirror, and 8 speaker Bose premium audio system, among many others.

Hyundai Creta Facelift: Engine Specifications

Performance-wise, the 2022 Creta will carry the same powertrain options as the current-gen Creta. Currently, the Hyundai Creta on sale in the Indian market is offered with three engine options. The 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder petrol unit churns out 113 bhp power and 144 Nm peak torque. While, the 1.4-litre, turbo petrol motor generates a top power of 138 bhp and a peak torque of 242 Nm. The more powerful 1.5-litre diesel engine develops 113 bhp power and 250 Nm torque. Transmission duties in the case of the petrol engines are carried out by a 6-speed manual, 7-speed DCT and a CVT gearbox. While the diesel unit comes linked to a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
