  • Hyundai Alcazar will have extended length and wheelbase
  • Hyundai Alcazar will get both petrol and diesel engines

Hyundai India is all set to hold the global premiere of Alcazar 7-seater SUV on April 6, 2021 in the country. However, prior to the official debut, the company has released a video which showcases the SUV doing test runs while wearing camouflage. Hyundai Alcazar has culminated the durability tests as it gets ready to hit the Indian roads in the next couple of months. The South-Korean automaker will reveal the price of Alcazar SUV next month while deliveries are expected to start soon after the price announcement.

Hyundai has stated that the Alcazar has been tested over varying terrains such as rough roads, fast paced highways and hilly terrain. In fact, the brand has tested it in various challenging weather conditions. Being dubbed as the 7-seater version of Hyundai Creta, it will come with an array of striking exterior elements such as LED headlamps, Dynamic C-Pillar and Diamond-cut alloy wheels. We have learnt that Hyundai Alcazar will be offered in both 6-seat and 7-seat configurations to rival the likes of MG Hector Plus, Tata Safari and Mahindra XUV500. As far as the interior cabin is concerned, it will come finished in a dual-tone upholstery with features like centre armrest with cupholders, wireless charging for second row and a massive touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay & Android Auto.

Mechanically, Hyundai Alcazar 7-seater SUV will be available with both petrol and diesel engines. The diesel variants will draw power from the Creta's 1.5L CRDi engine while available with both 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission options. On the other hand, the petrol variants are likely to come loaded with a 2.0L engine which we have already seen with the likes of Elantra and Tucson. Identical to its diesel counterpart, this petrol motor can also be availed with both manual and automatic gearboxes. It is being believed that Hyundai might also offer the 1.4L turbocharged petrol engine alongside the 7-speed DCT automatic unit with the Alcazar SUV.
