Hero MotoCorp, one of India’s biggest two-wheeler manufacturers, has revealed the new Mavrick 440 roadster at Hero World 2024. The auto giant has teamed up with Harley-Davidson and rolled out its new flagship offering, the Mavrick 440 motorcycle, globally. The brand unveiled the 440 at its Centre of Innovation and Technology (CIT) in Jaipur. The new motorcycle is based on the Harley-Davidson X440, which was launched in 2023. The new bike is the second product to come out of the new partnership. Apart from the Mavrick 440, Hero MotoCorp has also launched the Xtreme 125R at Hero World 2024.

The auto giant will offer the new motorcycle in three variants: Base, Mid, and Top. The motorcycle will get five color schemes across three trims: White, Red, Matte Black, Black and Blue. The Hero Mavrick 440 is likely to be introduced with an initial price tag of INR 2 lakh (ex-showroom).

Although the Mavrick 440 is based on the Harley-Davidson X440 model, it still has different styling elements that set it apart from the other traditional Hero-Harley models. Hero MotoCorp will commence accepting bookings for the Mavrick in February, whereas deliveries for the new roadster will start in April. The new 440 bike will be retailed exclusively via the company’s premium ‘Hero Premia’ dealership network. The same network also sells several famous models, including the Harley X440, Vida V1, Hero Karizma XMR, and more.

The Mavrick 440 comes with a wide handlebar, a circular headlamp with an H-Shaped LED DRL, muscular styling, and a bulbous fuel tank. It gets a scooped-out one-piece seat and a stubby tail section. The bike also comes with new fork-style alloy wheels and an exhaust.

The 440 bike gets an LCD unit packed with a lot of information. The motorcycle comes loaded with Bluetooth connectivity for making calls, SMS alerts, music playback, turn-by-turn navigation, and other connected features that can also be accessed through the mobile application. Hero is also offering full LED lighting and an LED projector headlamp.

Powering the Mavrick is a 440-cc single-cylinder air- or oil-cooled engine that is also equipped in the Harley-Davidson X440 model. The engine can churn out 90 percent of torque at 2,000 rpm. The motor is coupled with a six-speed gearbox. The manufacturer has added 43 mm telescopic forks up front and a monoshock at the rear in the new Mavrick. Braking duties are performed by disc brakes at both ends, along with twin-channel ABS.

In the mid-level motorcycle segment, the Hero Mavrick 440 will compete with the likes of the Jawa 350, Harley-Davidson X440, Royal Enfield Classic 350, and Honda CB350.
