BS4 offers are raining in India with all automobile manufacturers giving out cash discounts plus extra benefits for the interested buyers. BS6 emission norms will become the law by 1st April 2020 and will be a major step in reducing the vehicular air pollution. BS6 is one of the stringent pollution norms in the world and quite comparable to the European and American acts of pollution control. Ford has been steadily replacing its BS4 vehicles with new BS6 compliant models in India. Ford's total vehicle line-up starting from Figo hatchback to the EcoSport SUV is now BS6 compliant. American Automaker has started offering discounts on their BS6 models in India. We are going to list out some of the discounts being offered by authorized dealers -

Ford Figo (BS6)

2020 Ford Figo is a BS6 compliant hatchback and comes with two engine options - 1.2 litre naturally aspirated petrol and a 1.5 litre diesel. The 5 seater Ford Figo gives out an ARAI certified mileage of 18.5 Kmpl in petrol and 24.4 km on diesel. Figo’s base variant is available at an introductory price of Rs 5.39 lakhs (ex-showroom) with an added discount of Rs 20,000. Ford is also offering discounted insurance premium rates for Figo customer. 

Ford Aspire (BS6)

Priced at Rs 5.99 lakhs (ex-showroom), BS6 Ford Aspire is available with 2 engine options - 1.2 litre petrol and 1.5 litre diesel.  Up to Rs 20,000 discount is applicable to the latest BS6 Ford Aspire model along with own damage insurance premium at a discounted rate. The 1.2 litre Ti-VCT petrol BSVI compliant engine delivers 95 bhp of maximum power output with an ARAI certified fuel economy of 20.4kmpl. BS6 compliant 1.5 litre TDCi diesel engine delivers  99 bhp of power and has an ARAI certified fuel mileage of 24.4kmpl.

Ford Freestyle (BS6)

BS6 Ford Freestyle is priced at Rs 5.89 lakhs (ex-showroom) but currently, there are no discounts on it. BS6 Freestyle is offered with 2 engine variations - 1.2 litre petrol and 1.5 litre diesel. The new BS6 1.2 litre Ti-VCT petrol engine delivers the power of 96bhp with an ARAI certified fuel economy of 18.5kmpl. BS6 compliant 1.5 litre TDCi diesel engine produces 99bhp with an ARAI certified impressive fuel mileage of 23.8kmpl. BS4 Ford Freestyle is available at selected dealerships with discounts up to Rs 75,000.

Ford EcoSport

Ford EcoSport was the first BS6 model launch from the American Automaker in India and is priced at Rs 8.04 lakhs (ex-showroom). The BS6 compliant EcoSport comes with 1.5 litre petrol and 1.5 litre diesel engines. EcoSport sub-4 meter SUV is available for purchase with a cash discount of Rs 20,000 plus Ford’s damage insurance premium at a discounted rate. The 1.5 litre Ti-VCT 3 cylinder petrol engine generates a maximum power output of 120 bhp and 149 Nm of peak torque. While the 1.5 litre TDCi Diesel churns out 99 bhp of maximum power with 215 Nm of peak torque.
