BS6 Hyundai Venue 1.5L Diesel Launched At Rs 8.09 Lakhs

BS4 Emission Deadline is a couple of weeks away with the automobile manufacturers in India working around the clock to launch respective BS6 models. Hyundai Motor India has been pretty active with a slew of BS6 compliant vehicle launches in the past few months. Of these, the Next-Gen Hyundai Creta was recently launched on the 16th of March 2020 and now it is the turn of Hyundai Venue BS6 which gets an all-new 1.5 litre BS6 diesel engine.   

BS6 Hyundai Venue 1.5 litre diesel will compete against the likes of Ford EcoSport, Tata Nexon and Mahindra XUV300 in the subcompact SUV segment. Venue’s diesel engine is similar to that of Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos but will generate lesser power. Hyundai Venue 1.5 litre diesel currently has an introductory price of Rs 8.09 lakhs (Ex-Showroom) New Delhi. 

Talking about Hyundai Venue's 1.5 litre diesel engine, it produces a maximum power output 99 bhp and 240Nm of torque. The engine comes matted to a six-speed manual transmission. The diesel-powered BS6 Venue will be offered in five trims including E, S, SX, SX Dual-Tone and SX (O). The vehicle conforming to the stringent BS6 standards has resulted in a hike in prices by Rs 20,000. New colour options include the mention of Deep Forest, Lava Orange, and Denim Blue. If we talk about features, higher trims of the Venue offer auto climate control, an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, diamond-cut alloy wheels, wireless charging, air purifier, and Hyundai’s BlueLink Connected Technology. 

A dark chrome front grille, split type headlamps, projector Headlamp with LED DRL gives a distinctive front appearance to Hyundai Venue. Coming to the rear, LED tail lamps with crystal effect gives a premium look to Venue. Silver coloured Skid plates lends a sporty vibe to the compact SUV. Safety features are to the full tilt like six airbags, Rear Parking Assist System, Vehicle Stability Management, Electronic Stability Control among others.
