Tata Motors is all set to launch the Punch EV on January 17, 2024. Bookings for this model commenced on January 5 for a token amount of INR 21,000. The specifications of the Tata Punch EV have been leaked recently. The EV version of the Punch will be available in five variants, such as Adventure, Empowered, Smart, Smart+, and Empowered+. When it comes to design, the Punch EV draws inspiration from the Tata Nexon EV.
The Punch EV comes with alloy wheels that are styled aerodynamically. The rear-end of the EV looks like its ICE (internal combustion engine) counterparts. However, there is a new addition: a silver skid plate.
The new model will come in two battery pack versions: Long Range and Medium Range. The Medium Range battery pack will come equipped with a 25-kWh battery set unit with a drive range of around 300 to 315 km. The Long Range, on the other hand, will be equipped with a 35-kWh unit with a range of up to 400 km on one charge.

On the rear, the car will receive subtle changes like a revamped bumper and 'EV' badging. The electric car gets various safety features, including six airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), a 360-degree camera, and an electronic parking brake with automatic hold.
Tata Motors is likely to offer this model at a price of INR 12 lakh (ex-showroom) onward. The upcoming Punch.ev will give tough competition to the likes of Citroen eC3, Tata Tiago EV, and MG Comet EV.
