Hyundai Creta 7-Seater Spotted Testing After Lockdown

Hyundai has been working on the 7-seater version of Creta SUV for the past year or so and it has already been spotted multiple times as a test mule with camouflage. Now, a YouTube channel called DCV bikes has caught a glimpse of the upcoming Hyundai Creta 7-seater SUV while on his Kawasaki Ninja ZX6R. Needless to say, it will be longer than its standard 5-seater version to accommodate the third row of seat. The SUV can be expected in the Indian market by the end of 2020 while it will rival the likes of Mahindra XUV500 and MG Hector Plus in India.

The regular version of Hyundai Creta measures 4300mm in length and the 7-seater version is expected to be even longer. It would not be surprising if it crosses the 4.5 meter mark in length for the purpose of the additional third row. Even the test mule spotted recently was appearing longer than the standard model, confirming the same. It is not expected to come with any visual updates and carry on the same styling elements such as the split LED headlamps with DRLs, 4-slat front grille, sporty bumpers and LED tail lamp cluster. Though, the addition of a third row is certainly going to make the SUV appear bulky in size with the dual exhaust pipes at the rear and squarish wheel arches.

The cabin is believed to feature the same 10.25-inch horizontally placed touchscreen infotainment system, leather-wrapped steering wheel with mounted audio and phone controls, leather upholstery, panoramic sunroof, wireless charging and all-digital instrument cluster. Mechanically, the 7-seater SUV will carry the same set of BS6 compliant petrol and diesel powertrains as the 5-seater model while both manual and automatic transmission units will be available as standard. There will be no all-wheel-drive system on offer with it. Hyundai Creta 7-seater price might start at Rs 14 Lakhs and go as high as Rs 21 Lakhs for the range-topping model (Both the prices are Ex. Showroom).
