Today, Honda has globally revealed the Rebel 1100 cruiser motorcycle. This middle weight cruiser will make its way to the International market by January next year with no details yet out on its expected India launch. The existing range of Rebel 300 and 500 bikes have turned out to be popular with expectations being huge for Rebel 1100. If we tell you an interesting fact, the 1100cc two-wheeler borrows its engine and gearbox from Honda Africa Twin ADV motorcycle. It will be sold in two variants namely Rebel 1100 and Rebel 1100 DCT.

The Japanese two-wheeler giant has developed the new Rebel 1100 on the lines of its signature “Relax and Excite” design theme. Up front, the bike flaunts a pair of four projector headlamps with an LED DRL. Typical of a cruiser motorcycle, it offers only a rider seat with no pillion option as of now. The Rebel 1100 comes loaded with features such as ride-by-wire system, Honda’s signature selectable torque control, cruise control, ABS and all-digital monochrome LCD instrument cluster. The digital cluster per say displays information like a fuel gauge, trip distance, tachometer among other things. Plus the manufacturer is offering 3 different riding modes namely Rain, Sport and User. These riding modes will offer different levels of traction control, wheeling control and engine braking to the rider. Making the bike more friendly for buyers is the addition of a USB port for mobile charging in the storage compartment located below the seat.

2021 Honda Rebel will be powered by a 1084cc parallel-twin engine which has been modified to suit the character of bike. The engine is said to deliver a power output of around 85.8 bhp @7,000 rpm and 98 Nm of peak torque @4,750 rpm. It will come equipped with a 6-speed gearbox and a DCT transmission. The rider has the option to select the manual mode and change gears with the handlebar-mounted buttons. Suspension duties are taken care of by 43mm telescopic fork up front and shock absorbers sourced from Showa towards the rear.  The front and rear wheel sizes are 18-inch and 16-inch respectively. Surprisingly, the bike features a single disc in the front.
