Yamaha Saluto RX and Yamaha Saluto 125 now gets UBS - Unified Braking System, which is essentially same as the Combi Braking System which applies unified brakes both at the front and rear simultaneosly for optimum stopping power. This is not an ABS system which prevents locking of the brakes but Yamaha has cleverly named it as UBS, it is a combi braking system.
Other than the addition of the UBS system, the Yamaha Saluto siblings remain unchanged. The Yamaha Saluto RX comes with a 110cc engine that produces maximum power output of 7.5 HP and a peak torque of 8.5 Nm. The Yamaha Saluto 125 gets power from a 125cc engine that produces 8.3 HP of max power and 10.1 Nm of peak torque. Both the bikes get a 4-speed gearbox.
The Yamaha Saluto RX UBS gets a price tag of Rs. 52,000/- for standard colours, the Darknight colour of the RX is priced at Rs. 53,000/-. The Saluto 125 UBS drum brakes variant has been priced at Rs. 58,800/- and the front disc variant is priced at Rs. 60,500/-. The matte-green Yamaha Saluto 125 is priced at Rs. 61,500/- (all prices, ex-showroom).
