Xiaomi Himo Z16

We are sure all of you are well aware of Xiaomi Smartphones as it has a wide range of models not only across the Indian market but also globally. But, now the brand has also introduced a new Himo Z16 Foldable Electric Bicycle at the Youpin crowdfunding platform. It might not reach any other country than China in the initial stages of its production. The new iteration of Himo Z16 resembles the older version of the electric bicycle but it gets pedals for continuing the ride when the battery runs out of power which were missing till now.

Himo Z16 weighs merely 22.5kgs due to the use of extensively light materials like the aluminum alloy frame which also helps in the span of battery life. Sporting a three-fold design, it comes with foldable central body, foot pedals, and the handlebar. It also gets a LCD display machine with IP07 waterproof rating which allows the rider to access a bunch of information such as battery power, mileage, speed in real-time and other information. Himo Z16 comes with three power assisted modes: All-electric, Power-assist riding and manual pedaling. In the fully electric mode, it delivers a ride of 55 kilometers while a distance of around 80 kilometers in the power assisted mode where partial help is taken from pedals.

The Himo Z16 is powered by a detachable 18650 automotive-grade battery which can be fully charged in 5 hours. Himo has priced the Z16 foldable electric bicycle at a sticker price of $352 (Around Rs 27,000/-) which is quite affordable as compared to the other offerings presently anywhere in the world. So, it makes a lot of sense to bring it to the Indian market as it will surely establish the brand in the country in this segment as it is already a household name in the Smartphone market. So, lets wish that Xiaomi brings it to the Indian shores and the country can get a mass all-electric offering in a reasonable price value.
