Volvo Cars India launched the petrol mild-hybrid models of S90 and XC60 at Rs 61.90 lakhs (ex-showroom). The Swedish automaker is all set to make its transition from diesel to petrol powertrains and finally to an all-electric range by the end of this decade. Furthermore, it currently retails six models in the country.


Volvo XC60 Facelift: Design, Features, Engine, & Color Options

Talking about the Volvo XC60 facelift, it features the latest Pilot Assist function. In addition, it gets an Android-powered touchscreen infotainment system packed with in-built Google apps, voice assistant & services, and the brand’s ‘Digital Services’ package. Performance-wise, the SUV is powered by a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine coupled up with a 48V mild-hybrid electric motor that churns out a combined power of 247 bhp and a torque of 350 Nm. The motor is further mated to an 8-speed gearbox. The SUV is available in a total of six color options namely White, Black, Red, Osmium Grey, Blue, and Pine Grey.

The Volvo S90 facelift, on the other hand, gets similar features as the one present on the XC60 facelift. In terms of design, the sedan gets subtle updates in terms of a new grille upfront sporting the brand’s logo, a new set of alloy wheels, tweaked front & rear bumpers with a new chrome line, and new color options. Under the hood, the S90 facelift is powered by the same 2.0-litre petrol engine coupled with a 48V mild-hybrid electric motor. The sedan is offered in a total of four color options namely 


Volvo S90 and XC60 Facelift: Additional Features

Both cars come with features like Google services, advanced air cleaner, Volvo car apps, and BLIS. Customers can use the Google service to control several functions such as in-car music, adjust AC settings, and navigation. They can even communicate with google devices at home or offices through Google Assistant. Besides this, Google Play Store will be fully integrated with the Volvo user interface. One can simply access these services on the infotainment screen. Talking about the advanced air cleaner, there are claims that it is more efficient than the air filtration system already available in other Volvo vehicles. Volvo in-car app, on the other hand, will allow owners to connect to RSA, lock/unlock the vehicle, schedule service, control in-car air quality, and view charge status in case of EVs. Lastly, Volvo has introduced the Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) in its vehicles with an aim to enhance safety capabilities. The features that one can access through this include cross-traffic alert, steering assist, rear collision alert among many others.
