Lamborghini will not look fondly at 2020 considering the economic downturn in its key market but 2019 will be a landmark year for the luxury supercar maker. Italian Automaker finally understood the potential of SUV to its profit margins when it launched the Urus. Urus was the first offering by Sant'Agata Bolognese based firm in the high volume generating SUV segment. If I tell you that Urus was the best selling model of the whole Lamborghini stable of vehicles in 2019, you would be shocked but it’s true. People spent over $1 billion on Urus across the world in 2019 which speaks volumes about Urus appeal to the customers.
The Urus SUV isn’t powered by the Lamborghini's naturally aspirated V10 or V12 engines. Transmission duty is carried out by an 8-speed automatic gearbox. The Lamborghini Urus does 0-62 mph in 3.6 seconds while clocking a top speed of 305kmph thanks to the 8 cylinders. Interior can be customized with a wide range of colours and materials like leather, Alcantara, wood, aluminium or carbon-fibre finishes.
Priced at $200,000, Urus sales totalled 4,962 units in 2019. People spent over $1 billion on Urus making it one of the best selling Lamborgini units in the world. Urus found takers across the world with even Kanye West the famous American rap singer showing off his customized Urus.
