The new guidelines allow plying of taxi and cab aggregators with a maximum of two passengers, besides the driver. However, only essential activities will be permitted in the containment zones and hence the movement within these areas will be strictly monitored. "For auto-rickshaws and e-rickshaws, two persons in addition to the driver are allowed. Likewise, the one pillion rider will be allowed on a two-wheeler. It shall be mandatory for both the persons to wear helmets, masks and gloves. The manually driven rickshaws shall carry not more than two passengers," said official spokesperson of the Transport Department. "There will be a maximum of three persons in the vehicle. The Maxi Cabs can ply with a maximum of half of their seating capacity," added the official spokesperson. The installation of Aarogya Setu application on Smartphones has been made mandatory for all the citizens. In addition, they need to regularly update their health status on the app.
