TVS had recently announced on their social media about a design challenge they conducted across the country called The TVS Design Challenge. With entries coming in from all over India, TVS shortlisted six designs to post on their social media page.
The TVS Design Challenge served as a stage for budding designers across India to show their skills. The six shortlisted designs feature unique decals and look to be very neat works of detailing on the brand’s flagship product, the TVS Apache RR 310. All designs were digitally rendered with unique paint and graphics to give the Apache RR 310 an even more appealing design.
Out of the six designs shortlisted, five designs retain the stock styling of the motorcycle with livery updates. One of the designs created by Ameya Bhoi features Ducati Panigale V4 Speciale inspired graphics, Ohlins front forks, Brembo calipers, Akrapovic exhaust and a single-sided swingarm. The design also sees an elimination of passenger footrests. This combined with a compact exhaust gives the motorcycle a neater styling approach that not only look very clean but aggressive at the same time. The decals merge perfectly with the RR310’s signature red color.
Apart from the above-mentioned design, all models retain the original design and components of the motorcycle. The graphics range from three-tone finish to a chequered flag design. TVS also conducted polls for the best design and voting for the designs closed on 4th January, 2019.
The TVS Apache RR 310 has emerged as a crowd favorite from the very beginning of its launch. The motorcycle is a great overall package with aggressive styling and a perfect balance between fast riding and comfortable cruising. This led to many designers creating unofficial design and livery modifications on the Apache RR 310 since the very starting. TVS has now given budding designers a very big platform to showcase their talent on the national scale with the TVS Design Challenge.
