Tata Harrier

Launched in early 2019, Tata Harrier is a popular compact crossover SUV in India. It is the flagship product of the company in India. Recently, we came across an interesting modification of the SUV's interiors by Noida-based Roadster Guru. Tata Harrier dashboard design is classy with good colour combination and build quality. The interior is solid in itself but the owner wanted the interior to be customized as per his taste.

Tata Harrier Modified

Tata Harrier’s stock black and brown interior theme is gone in favour of a bolder white and blue combination. The dashboard’s faux wooden trim is swapped with a shiny blue accent while the lower half gets white finish. White is the colour finish for the steering, door panels and diamond-quilted seats. Roadster Guru automobile designers also added black leather trim around the interior door handle with blue contrast stitching. The designers did cosmetic modifications for the interior while leaving the equipment untouched.

If we talk about the exterior modifications, the SUV’s front bumper gets a customized white chin. The rear sports a white diffuser with faux exhaust tips. Mechanically, the designers haven’t tweaked the engine. Tata Harrier got a BS6 update as India moved from the BS4 to stringent BS6 norms. The BS6 version is priced at a premium of Rs 70,000 compared to its BS4 counterpart. The most important change is the inclusion of a 2.0L FCA-derived diesel engine. The BS6 engine develops 170 bhp of maximum power. The engine churns 30 hp of more power than the outdated BS4 model. The 2020 Tata Harrier now comes with a 6-speed automatic transmission. Earlier, the Tata Harrier only had a manual transmission.

Tata Harrier petrol launch is in the offing before the end of 2020. The petrol variant is expected to be powered by a 1.5L Revotron turbocharged unit. The BS6 compliant engine will deliver 150 hp of power and 250 Nm of peak torque. The petrol engine will be paired to a manual as well as automatic transmission. Petrol engine option would go a long way in increasing the Tata Harrier market share.
