Suzuki has unveiled the e-Burgman and Burgman Hydrogen scooters at the Japan Mobility Show 2023. Suzuki is unveiling its various models and future technologies at the event. Suzuki has also revealed a new car model, the Swift Concept, at the ongoing event. Now the company has come up with exciting two-wheelers: the Burgman Hydrogen and e-Burgman. Both of these scooters are available with alternative powertrains, and one of them might be unveiled in India as well.

 Suzuki e-Burgman

The new e-Burgman is an electric variant of Suzuki’s 125-cc scooter. Suzuki’s popular 125-cc scooter is currently available in the Indian market. The e-Burgman was also tested in India, but so far it has only been revealed in the global market.

Suzuki stated that the e-Burgman will come with swappable batteries from Gachaco. Gachaco is a consortium made by the four top Japanese two-wheeler manufacturers: Yamaha, Honda, Kawasaki, and Suzuki. Suzuki has revealed the new e-Burgman scooter to collect data regarding everyday usability.

The Suzuki e-Burgman comes with an AC synchronous motor that generates 4 kW (5.3 bhp) and 18 Nm of peak torque. On a single charge, the battery pack available in the e-Burgman scooter can have a range of 44 km. The e-Burgman will initially be launched internationally, and it will be unveiled in India sometime later.

Suzuki Hydrogen-powered Burgman 

Suzuki has also revealed the Burgman Hydrogen at the Japan Mobility Show 2023. The Burgman Hydrogen scooter comes with a sleek design, and it is based on Suzuki’s existing Burgman 400 ABS model. The new Burgman Hydrogen is equipped with a 70 MPa hydrogen tank and a hydrogen engine. Suzuki has revealed this scooter to showcase the company’s capabilities, as it has started an initiative to achieve carbon neutrality by developing hydrogen engines.

The Hydrogen-powered Burgman comes with maxi-scooter-like muscular bodywork, a central spine, a split-type headlight along with a smoked upright visor, and a single-piece seat. The Burgman Hydrogen gets 15-inch alloy wheels and grippy wide-section tires.
