Renault India has launched the Duster 1.3L turbo petrol at a starting price of Rs 10.49 Lakhs (Ex-showroom, All India) in the country. It has been introduced in three trims: RXE, RXS and RXZ. Besides the entry-level RXE trim, the other two grades also get the X-Tronic CVT gearbox along with a manual transmission. The French automaker has not discontinued the existing Duster 1.5L petrol range but offered it with a revised introductory price of Rs 8.59 Lakhs. Renault Duster 1.3L turbo petrol is the most powerful SUV in its segment.
The Duster 1.3L turbo petrol doesn't come with major cosmetic updates but it gets Crimson Red accents on the front grille, tailgate, roof rails and fog lamp cover. The front fascia flaunts signature projector headlamps with LED DRLs, tri-winged full chrome grille and dual tone body coloured bumper with skid plates. Riding on 17-inch Forza Diamond Cut alloy wheels, it has a ground clearance of 205mm. The matte black tailgate embellisher and Waterfall LED tail lamps sum up the styling of the SUV. The Duster 1.3L turbo petrol interior is finished in Midnight black upholstery with premium blue glazed seats. The SUV now comes with the remote Pre-Cooling function which enables a buyer to switch on the engine and start the air conditioning even before entering the car with the key fob.
Some of the other features of Renault Duster 1.3L turbo petrol includes Cruise Control with speed limiter, Ice Blue graphic instrument cluster with multi-information display, ARKAMYS sound system with 4 speakers and 2 front tweeters, fully automatic climate control, Smart Start/Stop function, and a 17.64 cm touchscreen MediaNAV infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, voice recognition and EcoGuide. The SUV complies with the latest front, side & pedestrian crash norms while being equipped with a plethora of safety features in the form of ABS with EBD, driver and passenger airbags, rear parking sensors, seat belt reminder & speed alert as standard across the entire range. Additionally, Reverse Parking Camera, Electronic Stability Program (ESP) and Hill-Start Assist come with the top-end variants.
Mechanically, it is powered by the BS6 compliant 1.3L turbocharged petrol engine which generates best-in-segment power output of 154bhp at 5500rpm and peak torque of 254Nm at 1600rpm. The engine is linked to a 6-speed manual transmission as standard with fuel efficiency of 16.50kmpl. It is also offered with a X-Tronic CVT gearbox with a 7 speed manual mode and mileage of 16.42kmpl. Renault Duster 1.3L turbo petrol is available with a range of 38 different categories of innovative accessories. The color options for the SUV includes Caspian Blue, Mahogany Brown, Cayenne Orange, Moonlight Silver, Slate Grey, Outback Bronze and Pearl White.
