The Red Bull Soapbox Race is back in India after eight years. India will be holding the Red Bull Soapbox Race in Hyderabad on March 3, 2024. Earlier, this event was held in Mumbai in 2012 and 2016. The previous events witnessed creative vehicles that acquired immense acknowledgement from the audience. The upcoming event is the third edition of the Red Bull Soapbox Race in India.

The Red Bull Soapbox Race was first presented in 2000 in Brussels, Belgium, and since then it has been organized in more than 52 countries. Since its introduction in 2000, the Red Bull Soapbox Race has witnessed different variations of creativity, like Donald Trump, The Joker, food delivery, and Le Mans. Participants are judged based on their creativity and uniqueness. Red Bull states that the speedy one to reach the finish line will be “looked upon as favorable for winning the race”.

Red Bull Soapbox Races are held in many cities across the world. Red Bull explains its soapbox race as the “pinnacle of non-motor racing." Anyone who has a unique idea and can put those ideas into a soapbox is eligible to participate in the event. The idea behind this race is that local amateurs need to build vehicles that are powered by gravity and leg muscles. To ride the vehicles, the brakes and steering need to work properly; other than that, one goes to the top of a slope and builds their racer; the rest depends on gravity. In the race, amateur pilots compete with one another by demonstrating hand-made vehicles, and these vehicles are judged for their speed, uniqueness, and road holding.

The Red Bull Soapbox Race will be held on March 3, 2024, at Inorbit Mall, Cyberabad, from 10:00 a.m. onwards, and registration is open for the third edition of the Red Bull Soapbox Race. This Red Bull Soapbox Race is expected to be better than the previous ones. Interested participants can register for the game by filling out the application form on Red Bull India’s official website. The final date to register is November 15, 2023. While applying online, participants are required to upload a sketch of their unique soapbox concepts. The ideas that are unique will be preferred, and they will earn their place on the starting grid. A participation kit and Red Bull Soapbox Race driver’s license will also be given to these participants.
