Porsche India has launched the Panamera Platinum Edition at a sticker price of Rs 1.71 Crore (Ex. Showroom, India) in the country. Being positioned between the Standard and GTS trims, it had its global premiere last month at the 2021 Los Angeles Auto Show. Porsche Panamera Platinum Edition comes with cosmetic updates over the regular variants of the saloon. Mechanically, it would be offered with two engine options namely a 2.9L twin-turbo V6 petrol and a 4.0L V8 with a 100 kW electric motor in the Indian market.


Speaking of the cosmetic updates, the 2021 Porsche Panamera Platinum Edition flaunts black exhaust pipes. The window trim has also been finished in a gloss black theme. The air outlet trim is offered in a satin finish with Porsche badging at the bootlid. Riding on 21-inch platinum finished alloy wheels, it also gets black brushed aluminium door sill guards with the 'Platinum Edition' logo. The cabin comes in a black upholstery with a brush aluminium finish. Some of the notable features in the saloon include 14-way electrically adjustable front seats, LED matrix headlights with PDLS Plus (Porsche Dynamic Light System Plus), adaptive air suspension with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) and a 14-speaker Bose sound system.

Porsche Panamera Platinum Edition will be on sale with two engine choices. It can be purchased with a 2.9L V6 twin-turbo petrol engine which develops top power of 325 bhp and peak torque of 450 Nm. It can also be availed with a 4.0L V8 engine which will be combined with a 100 kW electric motor to produce maximum power of 681 bhp and highest torque of 870 Nm. Both the engines will be linked to an 8-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission as standard. Just so you know, Porsche Panamera is offered in four trims namely standard, GTS, Turbo S and S E-Hybrid in the Indian market. The saloon rivals the likes of BMW 7-Series, Mercedes Benz S-Class, Audi A8L and Jaguar XJ in India.
