Next-Gen 2020 Hyundai Creta India Launch on March 17, 2020

Hyundai India has officially announced the launch of next-gen 2020 Creta on March 17, 2020 in the country. The South-Korean automaker has also released the sketches of interior of the new SUV. The company had unveiled the all-new SUV at the grand stage of 2020 Auto Expo a few days back in Greater Noida. Being touted as the biggest launch of this year, the next-gen 2020 Hyundai Creta will take on the likes of MG Hector, Kia Seltos, Tata Harrier and Nissan Kicks in the Indian market.

The new SUV flaunts Hyundai's new design language of ‘SENSUOUS SPORTINESS’ with the new ‘cascading’ grille at the forefront of affairs. It also gets split LED headlamps with daytime running lamps (DRLs) and a new front bumper with faux skid plate. The side profile is highlighted by the addition of new dual-tone alloy wheels while the split light layout makes it way to the tail-lamp cluster as well. The cabin is also all new with refreshed dashboard and AC vents. Some of the premium features expected with the 2020 Hyundai Creta are ventilated front seats, automatic climate control with rear vents, wireless charging, panoramic sunroof and a touchscreen infotainment system with Hyundai BlueLink tech.

Mechanically, the next-gen Hyundai Creta will be offered with a set of BS 6 compliant petrol and diesel engines which will be borrowed from the Kia Seltos. The petrol variants will be powered by a 1.5L naturally aspirated engine with top power of 115bhp while the diesel variants will draw power from a 1.5L turbocharged engine with power outout of 115bhp. The former will be available with a 6-speed manual and a CVT gearbox while the latter could get a 6-speed manual alongside the torque converter automatic unit. The company might also introduce a high-performance 'Turbo' variant, the lines of Grand i10 Nios and Aura, with Kia Seltos' 140bhp 1.4L turbocharged petrol engine and 7-speed DCT auto gearbox.
