Currently, the second-gen model and the upcoming third-gen Hyundai i20 will compete against the likes of Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Toyota Glanza, Volkswagen Polo, Tata Altroz and Honda Jazz facelift in the premium hatchback segment. Talking about the current model, then the Elite i20 is only available with a BS6 petrol engine. It comes equipped with a 1.2 litre Kappa Na engine that delivers a power output of 82 bhp with 114 Nm of peak torque while the transmission duty is handled by a 5-speed gearbox.
