Maruti Suzuki has launched WagonR Xtra Edition in the country. The special edition model is based on the VXi variant that falls in the price range of Rs 5.13-6.06 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). It comes with an additional kit that further hikes the price by another Rs 23,000. 

Maruti Suzuki WagonR Xtra Edition: Design

Talking about the WagonR Xtra edition, the additional accessories will be fitted at the dealer level on the VXi trim of WagonR. Cosmetically, it gets front and rear bumper protectors, wheel arch cladding, side skirts, and body side mouldings. The special edition model further gets a chrome garnish on the front grille, back door, and number plate. 

Maruti Suzuki WagonR Xtra Edition: Features

Besides this, Maruti is providing an ‘interior styling kit’, along with a trunk organizer, an air inflator, and a car charge extender. Since it is based on the VXi trim, the Xtra edition model comes with split-folding rear seats, remote locking, power-adjustable wing mirrors, tilt-adjustable steering, and a 2-DIN infotainment system as standard. In terms of safety features, the vehicle is equipped with a driver airbag, ABS with EBD, a speed alert system, rear parking sensors, and seatbelt reminder. If the customer opts for VXi(O) trim, he can get a passenger airbag for the co-driver. 

Maruti Suzuki WagonR Xtra Edition: Engine Specifications

Performance-wise, the WagonR Xtra Edition can either be had with a 1.0-litre petrol engine or a 1.2-litre petrol unit. The former churns out a maximum power of 67 bhp at 5500 rpm and a peak torque of 90 Nm at 3500 rpm. While the latter generates a top power of 82 bhp at 6000 rpm and a peak torque of 113 Nm at 4200 rpm. Transmission duty for both engines is handled by either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT gearbox. 

Maruti Suzuki WagonR Xtra Edition: Rivals

The hatchback competes against the likes of the Hyundai Santro and Tata Tiago.
