Previously, the automaker implemented a price hike on November 27 last year due to rising production costs and rising inflation.

The manufacturer recently stated in a regulatory filing that its entire passenger vehicle lineup has received a price surge of around 0.45 percent. The company said that the ex-showroom pricing of its vehicles in Delhi is utilized to determine the indicated price hike percentage.

The Arena puts its complete focus on mass-market models like Dzire, WagonR, Celerio, Swift, etc., whereas Nexa focuses on premium passenger vehicles like Jimny, Fronx, Baleno, Grand Vitara, etc. The brand recently saw record sales growth in 2023 as the company achieved its highest-ever yearly sales milestone of 20 lakh units in the calendar year 2023.

Apart from Maruti, other automakers in India, including Tata Motors and Mahindra, among others, have also announced a price surge for their passenger vehicles starting in January 2024. Although all these automakers have increased the cost of their vehicles, they are hopeful that sales will not slow down.
