The concept car will be centre stage at Maruti’s stall at the upcoming Auto Expo. The 'Concept Future S' will give us a glimpse of what to expect from the future compact SUV.
The car has been designed completely in-house and will show an all-new design direction for the company. Maruti says its the next level of "design evolution” in terms of proportions, body sculpting and fusing bold patterns and colours. The production version of the Future S will be positioned below the Vitara Brezza.
The Future S is touted to be 200mm shorter than the Vitara Brezza and will sport more traditional SUV design elements than crossover. The car will be built on the company’s lightweight ‘Heartect’ platform, and will be powered by the trusty K-series 1.2-litre petrol engine, with some electrification. A 1.5-litre diesel, developed in-house, could also debut in this car.
