On the basis of customer feedback, Mahindra has introduced a mechanical locking rear differential called Multi-Terrain Technology(MTT) on the Bolero Neo N10(O) variant. Besides this, the new variant remains identical to the N10 trim. Talking about the mechanical locking differential, it basically diverts the power to the wheel on the ground which further improves drivability on difficult surfaces. The cabin of the Bolero Neo N10(O) boasts of a premium Italian theme. The SUV gets seats wrapped in premium fabric. The equipment list on the Bolero Neo N10(O) trim includes Static bending headlamps with LED DRLs, powerful HVAC, 15-inch alloy wheels, electronically adjustable ORVMs, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment unit compatible with Bluetooth, air conditioning with Eco mode, steering mounted audio controls, a front armrest, cruise control, and height-adjustable driver’s seat. Furthermore, new trim is offered in a total of five color options namely Majestic Silver, Napoli Black, Highway Red, Rocky Beige, and Pearl White.
Performance-wise, the Bolero Neo is powered by a 1.5-litre three-cylinder diesel engine that churns out a maximum power of 99 bhp and a peak torque of 260 Nm. The motor is further mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The SUV gets engine start-stop technology. It further gets Eco and ESS (micro-hybrid) drive modes to maximize fuel efficiency. However, it does miss out on an automatic gearbox. The SUV sits on the third-generation ladder-frame chassis that also underpins Mahindra Thar and Scorpio.
Mahindra Bolero Neo rivals the likes of the Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, and Maruti Vitara Brezza in the Indian market.
