Kia Motors is all set to make its India debut later this year. The stepping stones for the launch has been laid with the launch of its maiden showroom in Noida, Uttar Pradesh on Friday. Kia Motors have tied up with Allied Motors for their Indian operations.

The 12,000 sq. ft facility is equipped with dedicated consulting areas, state of the art lounge and café for customers and an exclusive new car delivery area. The architecture of the showroom follows the design language of Kia’s global ‘Red Cube’ showrooms. Additionally, the showroom is equipped with dedicated service facilities to meet the after-sales requirements of the customers.

Manohar Bhat, Head of Sales and Marketing, Kia Motors India said, “This is an important milestone for Kia Motors India as it marks the customer focused physical presence of the brand in the country. The facility has the perfect mix of style, function and form and is in line with Kia’s new global standards. Kia is proud to have partnered with Allied Motors who have a 75-year-old legacy of being associated with the automotive sector with intrinsic and in-depth knowledge of selling automobiles.

The first model to be launched under Kia Motors India will be the SP2i SUV later this year. The SP2i will be a Creta rivalling SUV. It is expected to get similar powertrain options as the Creta while being similarly equipped as well.

Currently, the construction of Kia Motors’ first manufacturing facility in Anantapur District of Andhra Pradesh is underway. The manufacturing facility is expected to begin production in the second half of 2019 and produce approximately 300,000 units per year.
