The TVS Jupiter surpassed sales of 2 million units within four years of its launch. The Jupiter was the fastest scooter to reach the 1 million sales mark – it achieved the feat in 30 months.
Just last month, the Chennai-based two-wheeler maker launched a new variant of the Jupiter, called the Classic. This new model features retro-themed design details like round chrome mirrors, a chrome backrest, new windscreen, new ‘sunlit ivory’ body colour and a dual-tone seat.
The Jupiter and the Wego also recently received TVS’ combined braking system, called the Sync Brake System (SBS). SBS automatically activates the front brake when the rear brake is used, similar to the combined braking Honda and Hero have been offering. In other news, TVS is also currently working on an electric scooter for the Indian market.
