Jeep Compass: All you need to know

Prices for Jeep’s new Compass SUV are likely to start at ₹18 lakh. The company is all set to launch its first made-in-India model, the Compass, soon. Jeep began locally manufacturing the SUV a few days ago at its plant in Ranjangaon. The company will sell the model with two engines – a 2.0-litre 172hp 350Nm diesel and a 1.4-litre MultiAir turbo-petrol. The equipment list for the different variants has leaked online and it’s now certain that the Compass will be available in five variants. Here's what is available on each of them:

Pricing and competition check
Jeep’s Compass could be priced between ₹18 lakh and ₹25 lakh. The car will be pit against the likes of Hyundai’s Tucson, Ford’s Endeavour, Toyota’s Fortuner and the recently launched Volkswagen Tiguan.
