Honda Two-Wheelers India had launched the Hornet 2.0 a few days earlier. This motorcycle marks the entry of the company into the 180cc - 200cc segment. Furthermore, it is priced at Rs 1.26 lakhs (ex-showroom). Now there are reports which suggest that the bike has been dispatched to different dealerships across India. We can expect the deliveries to commence from this month onwards. Interested buyers can now book a test ride and also reserve the bike at a token amount of Rs 5000. 

Hornet 2.0

Honda Hornet 2.0 is based on the Honda CB190R, which is currently on sale in the international markets. Upfront, the bike gets all-LED headlamp. The rear end boasts of an X-shaped tail light. Since Hornet 2.0 is based on an all-new platform, it debut's the key on the fuel tank feature. Other notable elements include a hazard switch, sporty split seat, stop switch, newly designed alloy wheels, and a short muffler. It also gets a fully digital liquid crystal instrument cluster that features a gear position indicator, service due indicator, and battery voltmeter. Also, the bike sits on a new diamond frame that offers good agility and feedback around the corners. 

Mechanically, Honda Hornet 2.0 is powered by a BS6 compliant 4-stroke HET engine. This engine generates 17 bhp power @ 8500rpm and 16.1 Nm torque @ 6000rpm. Being equipped with the PGM-FI technology, the engine is linked to a 5-speed gearbox. Suspension duties are taken care of by a USD fork finished in gold colour upfront and a preload-adjustable mono-shock towards the rear. As for brakes, the motorcycle gets a 276mm front petal disc and 220mm petal disc at the rear along with a single-channel ABS. 

The bike is available in four paint schemes namely Pearl Igneous Black, Matte Sangria Red Metallic, Matte Axis Grey Metallic, and Matte Marvel Blue Metallic. It rival against the likes of TVS Apache RTR 200, Bajaj Pulsar NS200, and Hero Xtreme 200R.
