Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. (HMSI) announced today they have sold over 5.5 Lakh units of BS6 compliant vehicles in the country. The company’s BS6 compliant line-up comprises 6 models namely: Activa 125, SP 125, Activa 6G, Shine, Unicorn, and Dio. It is the only two-wheeler manufacturer with six BS-6 compliant models available for purchase in the Indian market.

Honda’s new BS6 engine is equipped with Enhanced Smart Power (eSP) technology. The eSP tech integrates ACG Starter motor, reduced frictional losses with Programmed Fuel Injection(PGM-Fi). The Activa 125 BSVI comes with first-in-segment features like Side Stand Indicator with Engine Inhibitor, digital-analog meter, integrated dual function switch & external fuel lid, Idling Stop System, front glove box for more storage. The BS6 compliant SP 125 offers 9 segment-first features such as full digital meter, distance to empty, average fuel efficiency, real-time fuel efficiency, LED DC headlamp, Engine Start/Stop switch, Integrated headlamp beam/Passing switch, Eco Indicator, and Gear Position Indicator.
The BS6 compliant Activa 6G comes with exciting new additions like telescopic suspension, integrated dual function switch, malfunction light, engine start-stop switch, external fuel lid, passing switch, DC LED headlamp, 3-step adjustable rear suspension. The Dio BS6 comes with new technology & features like full digital meter, side stands indicator with Engine Cut-off, telescopic suspension, engine start/stop switch, integrated dual function switch, external fuel lid, passing switch, DC LED headlamp, malfunction light, and 3-step adjustable rear.
BS6 compliant Honda Shine 125 comes with a host of new features like 5-Speed Transmission, engine Start/Stop switch. Honda Unicorn BS6 is powered by 160cc HET BSVI PGM-FI engine and comes equipped with ABS (Anti-brake system) and Engine Stop Switch.
