Hero MotoCorp has achieved a new production milestone of 100 million units in cumulative production today. The company rolled out its 100 millionth bike, the Xtreme 160R from its manufacturing facility in Haridwar. Besides these, this is the 20th consecutive year when Hero MotoCorp has retained the title of the World’s largest manufacturer of two-wheelers.
The company further celebrated this occasion by unveiling six celebration edition models. Out of the six, four are motorcycles - Splendor+, Xtreme 160R, Passion Pro, Glamour and two are scooters - Destini 125, Maestro Edge 110. All these models get a special Red and White colour scheme. They will go on sale from February 2021. Furthermore, the CEO of Hero MotoCorp has outlined the plans and vision of the company for the next five years. As a part of this plan, the company intends to introduce over 10 products – including variants, refreshes, and upgrades every year.

Most importantly, this is a celebration of the customers who continue to shower their love and faith on Hero,” commented Pawan Munjal, Chairman & CEO, Hero MotoCorp on the occasion of this achievement.
Talking about the company’s 100 millionth vehicle, Hero Xtreme 160R, it was launched in June last year. One of the most powerful motorcycles in its category, the Xtreme 160R is powered by a 163cc air-cooled engine. While being mated to a 5-speed gearbox, the motor churns out 15 bhp @8500 rpm and 14 Nm of peak torque @ 6500 rpm. The engine uses the company's xSens technology with 14 different sensors.
