Bollywood star Madhuri Dixit made the whole India watch her brilliant acting and dancing now she is making us watch with envy at her custom design Toyota Innova Crysta. Dilip Chhabria’s automotive design firm DC2 did the interior redesigning of Actress’s Innova Crysta and transformed it. DC2 is the new name of DC designs famous for their DC Avanti and DC TCA, considered India’s first Sportscar.
DC designs based out of Pune is famous for their interior redesigning of cars with clients like Aston Martin, Chevrolet making them stand out on the global map. If we look at these interior images released by DC2, the customized MPV looks more premium than the standard Toyota Innova Crysta available in the Indian market. There are electrically powered captain seats in the middle while all the upholstery including the door pads feature leather a covering. In visual appeal, the diamond stiching provided to leather seats gives the cabin a premium feel. The ambient lighting available on the roofliner will remind you of Rolls Royce Motor Cars that feature exclusive star studded roof. The premiuness is further pushed by the addition of wooden panels with piano black inserts. For entertainment, behind the front two seats (driver & Co-passenger) there are two individual infortainment screens. A central panel between the middle seats houses controls for the music system along with air-conditioning. It also doubles up as cupholders for storing cold beverages and bottle of water.
DC designs are always identified by the presence of ambient lighting and here also, star-like roof lighting gives a classy vibe. Rolls Royce’s Starlight Headliner serves as an inspiration for Bollywood Diva’s Toyota vehicle. It might not be having the finesse of a Rolls Royce but it adds a premium and shining appeal to the Toyota Innova Crysta.
Dilip Chabaria name is synonymous with the innovative design having worked on a variety of exciting products like Avanti. DC Avanti was an innovation and India’s first supercar but faced a deluge of teething issues like performance and usability. There were doubts over the designs as well as the performance of the car which led to its below-par revenue generation for DC Designs. Now, with the customized Toyota Innova Crysta, DC Designs might get a new lease of life in the rebranded name of DC2 designs.
