  • The powertrain remains unchanged.

The all-electric Citroen e-C3's top-of-the-line Shine variant is now available in India, priced as low as INR 13.20 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Nearly a year after its launch, the EV now has a new top variant. The electric hatchback now has a few extra features, some of which were only available as accessories. Approximately INR 40,000 more is spent on the new top variant than on the e-C3 Feel variant.

The following are the prices of the Citroen eC3 Shine variant (all prices, ex-showroom):

A few aesthetic upgrades, such as imitation front and rear skid plates and 15-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, are added to the Shine over the e-C3 Feel. The steering wheel is now covered in leather inside. The e-C3 Shine has an electrically adjustable wing mirror system, a rear defogger, and a reverse camera among its features. The remaining machinery has been transferred over from the Feel trim, which has lower specs.

For an extra Rs 15,000 each, the Shine variant, like the Feel variant, can also be customized with the Vibe Pack and dual tone color options.

Citroen hasn't changed the EV's drivetrain for 2024; the e-C3 will still be powered by an electric motor driving the front axle and a 29.2 kWh underfloor battery pack. The electric motor can generate up to 143 Nm of torque and 56 bhp at its peak, which is sufficient to take the EV up to 107 kmph. According to Citroen, the e-C3 supports DC fast charging and can travel up to 320 km (MIDC) on a single charge.

Citroen states that the e-C3 can be charged from 10% to 100% in 10.5 hours with a 15 amp plug point. A DC fast charger can charge the battery from 10% to 80% in 57 minutes.

Aditya Jairaj, CEO and MD, Stellantis India, said on the launch on Shine model, “Expanding upon the triumph of last year’s eC3 launch, this latest Shine variant epitomizes our unwavering dedication to providing exceptional value in electric vehicles tailored to the ever-evolving needs of our customers. With innovation, comfort, and sustainability deeply embedded in its DNA, the eC3 Shine promises to redefine the driving experience, setting a new standard for excellence.”

The e-C3 rivals against the likes of  the Tata Tiago EV and the new Punch EV along with the MG Comet.
