BYD has achieved the milestone of unveiling its 7 millionth electric vehicle, the Denza N7. The EV is currently on sale in the international market. The Chinese electric vehicle major produced its 1 millionth electric car in May 2021, and within the period of just 18 months, it multiplied this number threefold. The brand crossed 5 million units’ production in just nine additional months. In the next 7 months after hitting the 5 millionth mark, BYD manufactured its 7 millionth electric vehicle, showcasing a powerful end-to-end supply chain.

The company’s cumulative yearly sales of EVs went up to 3.02 million units in 2023, which makes the automaker one of the prominent EV automakers in the global market. Several models from the company’s broad range of brands regularly topped sales rankings in their respective categories. Build Your Dreams (BYD) is working on expanding its reach in the global market. The company said that it is witnessing rapid growth in overseas new electric passenger car sales that hit 240,000 units, marking a 337 percent YoY growth, making it the prominent exporter of new electric vehicles in CY2023.

BYD currently sells three electric passenger cars in the Indian market: the Atto 3 SUV, the e6 MPV, and the all-new Seal sedan. The dealership network for BYD India's passenger vehicle sector now consists of 24 dealerships spread across 21 locations. The brand has invested more than $200 million in two factories in the country, covering more than 140,000 square meters. BYD’s product lineup includes electric trucks, electronic devices, electric forklifts, electric buses, and battery energy storage.

As of now, the brand’s new energy passenger vehicles have been rolled out in 64 countries. BYD has multiple manufacturing facilities located in Uzbekistan, Brazil, Hungary, and Thailand. The auto giant has also teamed up with the UEFA European Football Championship 2024 to display its NEVs on the world stage.
