BMW Motorrad India has debuted a voluntary warranty extension package for 310 series bikes. This extension package is applicable only for buyers having the G 310 GS, G 310 RR, and G 310 R. Alongside, this package can be extended for up to 5 years regardless of the kms covered by the bike. And this offer also includes existing customers who have bought these aforesaid models following October 2020.
The package only costs INR 6000 and includes the cost of repairs beyond the first 3-years warranty period or replacement of electrical or mechanical elements that experience sudden failures in the bikes. It is important to note that this package becomes active after the expiration of the conventional warranty period and then stays in effect for 24 months or 2 years.

Service Records: For this warranty extension to be in-effect, one must follow BMW's advised maintenance schedules. All maintenance must be performed by a BMW Motorrad dealer, and service receipts must be kept to prove the history of the maintenance in the event of a claim.
Regular Servicing: An authorized BMW Motorrad owner must follow regular service of the motorcycle so as to maintain the bike's overall health and follow the bike maker's instructions. Customers have to show the digital certificate and copy of the invoice provided by the dealer in order to use the package's included services.
Motorcycle Ownership: Motorcycles that belong to motor traders, affiliated businesses, garages, or their owners are not covered by this extended warranty.
Applicable Models: The BMW G 310 GS, G 310 R,and G 310 RR BS6 versions are the only ones that can use the extended warranty.
And the benefits accumulated in the package are transferable if you decide to sell it off to another person during the validity period of the extension package. But, the sale has to be private (by you), and not through any third party like garage, auction, any company, or motor trader.
You should note that sudden electrical or mechanical failure or parts can be repaired or replaced but normal wear and tear or degradation are not accumulated as an electrical or mechanical failure and are not taken into account.
