German luxury carmaker BMW is all set to launch its upcoming electric SUV, the iX1, in India in the coming week. The iX1 is based on the third-generation X1 and is expected to be priced at around Rs 60-65 lakh (ex-showroom).

BMW iX1 Specification

The iX1 is powered by a dual-motor setup that produces 313 BHP and 494 Nm of torque. It comes with a 64.7 kWh lithium-ion battery pack that offers a range of 438 km on a single charge. The iX1 comes with an 11 kW charger as standard, but it can also be fast-charged with a 130 kW charger. The standard charger can take up to 6.5 hours to fully charge the battery, while the fast charger can take 30 minutes to charge the battery from 10 to 80 percent.

On the exterior, the iX1 is quite similar to the ICE X1. However, it gets a larger kidney grille, redesigned headlamps, new alloy wheels, and refreshed tail lights.

In terms of safety, the iX1 comes equipped with a host of features, including adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, lane departure warning, automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist, and seven airbags.

The interior of the iX1 is also quite luxurious. It gets dual 10.7-inch displays, ventilated seats, ambient lighting, rear AC vents, a panoramic sunroof, a mobile charger at the rear, three-zone climate control, wireless charging, and Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity.

The BMW iX1 is a great option for buyers who are looking for a luxurious and performance-oriented electric SUV. It offers a good range, fast charging capabilities, and a host of safety and convenience features.
