BMW India has launched the Individual 740Li M Sport Edition at a sticker price of Rs 1.43 Crores (Ex. Showroom, India) in the country. Being available in limited numbers, it will be locally developed at BMW Group Plant in Chennai while bookings are open at the company's official website. BMW Individual 740Li M Sport Edition is available in two exterior color options namely Tanzanite Blue and Dravit Grey. The German luxury brand is also offering membership of the exclusive BMW Excellence Club on the purchase of the limited edition sedan.
The Individual 740Li M Sport Edition of the company's flagship 7-Series sedan flaunts adaptive LED headlights with BMW Laserlight technology. In addition, it gets the M Sport package as standard which includes the 20-inch BMW Individual light alloy wheels V-spoke style 628, painted in bicolour and 20-inch M light alloy wheels Star-spoke style 817 M.
The cabin comes finished in an exclusive leather ‘Nappa’ with extended contents/stitching in Mocha and Black combinations. The dashboard and centre console boasts of BMW Individual badging. The sedan also features specially crafted BMW Individual Alcantara headrests. The roof handles clasp, rear seat belt clasp and rear-centre armrest cup holder are offered in a new fine-wood trim with wooden inlays.
Some of the notable features include ambient lighting, ambient air package, panoramic glass roof Sky Lounge with LED light graphics, wireless charging, Harman Kardon Surround Sound system with 16-speakers, four-zone automatic climate control, comfort access system, electrically adjustable comfort seats, massage function, front and rear active seat ventilation, climate comfort laminated glass, soft close function, welcome light carpet and two 10.2-inch full-HD touch displays at rear seats with a Blu-ray player. A special mention goes to the 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system which comes with 3D Navigation, BMW Gesture Control, Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The 740Li M Sport Edition is powered by a 3.0L 6-cylinder twin-turbo petrol engine which belts out top power of 340 bhp and peak torque of 450 Nm. Being married to an 8-speed Steptronic automatic transmission, it does a 0-100kmph sprint in merely 5.6 seconds.
It is equipped with top-notch safety features in the form of Driving Assistant with Lane Change Warning, Rear Collision Warning and Crossing Traffic Warning, Parking Assistant Plus with Surround View Camera, Reversing Assistant, Remote-Control Parking function, six airbags, Attentiveness Assistance, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) including Cornering Brake Control (CBC), Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), and ISOFIX child seat mounting.
