BMW recently unveiled the facelifted 7-Series globally, BMW China launched a special edition of the flagship sedan, called the 7-Series Black Fire. The special edition will be based on the outgoing iteration and will be limited to 150 units of which all are to be sold in China.

The BMW 7-Series Black Fire features a dark look on for the exterior as well as the interior. The car gets a matte-black paint scheme, with glossy accents in the grille and dual-tone 20-inch wheels and blue brake calipers on the outside. Inside, the dashboard is lined in red and black leather with piano-black trim, two-tone sport seats, ambient lighting, and ‘Edition Black Fire’ branding above the glovebox. It also gets a Bowers & Wilkins premium sound system and color-adjustable ambient lighting.

The 7-Series Black Fire Edition is packed to the brim with features like any other modern-day BMW. It gets a 10.25-inch LCD touchscreen display with split-screen function, full-color head-up display, 360-degree camera system, self-parking system among several other features.

The BMW 7-Series Black Fire is based on the 740Li xDrive. This means that it is powered by a 3.0-litre petrol engine that develops 326 PS of peak power and 450 Nm of torque. The car does the 0-100 km/hr run in just 5.6 seconds.

While prices for the 7-Series Black Fire Edition haven’t been revealed as of now, it would be safe to assume that the special edition would come at a considerable premium over the standard 740Li xDrive. The standard BMW 740Li xDrive starts from 1,218,000 yuan (approx. Rs. 1.27 crore) in the People’s Republic of China.
